The final experience

See the solution first.

The core experience, before the process behind it.

Redesigned ReWA website homepage with clearer navigation and donation actions

The design challenge

ReWA had strong community impact and essential services, but visitors with very different goals struggled to find the right next step.

What mattered

Three decisions, not every artifact.

01

Separate the journeys

What we learnedDonors, service seekers, and community partners arrived with different levels of urgency and knowledge.

Design responseWe organized the experience around four clear pathways: get help, give, understand impact, and connect.

02

Explain before asking

What we learnedA donation button alone did not provide enough confidence or context for potential supporters.

Design responseWe paired giving actions with concise impact evidence and multiple ways to support the organization.

03

Make support scannable

What we learnedLong service descriptions slowed people who needed to quickly determine whether help was relevant.

Design responseService cards use plain-language labels, audience cues, and direct actions to reduce uncertainty.

Outcome & reflection

Nonprofit UX is not simply about looking warmer or more modern. The work is helping people find the right path without feeling lost, pressured, or overwhelmed.
